The Sunday Post – August 5, 2018
The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
~this meme was inspired in part by ~ In My Mailbox~
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
Hi, Friends! It’s been a while since I’ve done a Sunday Post, but we’ve been so busy. First, we were on vacation at the Outer Banks. I love going to the Outer Banks. It was a wonderful, relaxing week at the beach. I overpacked the books that I had hoped to read, but I did manage to finish two books and start a few. I worked a bit, but I didn’t mind. I love working with the ocean right outside the door.
A week after we got back, we went to the Mid-Ohio Indy races. My husband is a fan, as are my kids! It was a gorgeous day, and we had a lot of fun. My oldest son’s favorite driver is Charlie Kimball. Charlie Kimball is a Type 1 Diabetic, just like my oldest. He met Mr. Kimball three years ago and wanted to meet him again. So, we went to his trailer in the Paddock and asked if we could meet him. He is always so great with meeting the fans, especially the kids. He signed some autographs and took some pictures–not only with my oldest but with all of us. It was awesome.
Of course, I’ve been trying to catch up with everything. (It only took a week to finish all the laundry from vacation.) I apologize for not getting around to comment or respond to comments in the last few weeks. I’ll try to get caught up this week! I finished The Other Woman by Sandie Jones last night. It was so good! My review will be up soon. How are you? Can you believe it is August already? What are you reading?

Wow beautiful pic! And the races look fun too. 🙂 Kimball sounds like a class act- nice that he makes time for his fans, especially the younger ones.

Oh, I’d love to be able to hear the ocean outside my door. Just a little too far away for that but I can smell it. LOL How cool about the racing pictures. It’s so cool he was willing to share his time for singing and pictures. Makes the day extra special:)
