Carl’s Review: Dog Man and Cat Kid by Dav Pilky

Hi, Everyone! I’d like to introduce my son, Carl, to you! He saw his big brother’s reviews and wanted to write one as well. He is 7 years old and loves to read. He and I talked about this book, and I typed his review based on our chat and the questions he answered.

Enjoy!

Did I enjoy this book? Yes!

I liked it because Petey kept saying that Cat Kid was breaking laws but Cat Kid never noticed it. That made me laugh a lot. I liked how the illustrator drew the pictures. I also liked that the pictures are easy for me to try to draw. The leader of the mini hotdog robots was really funny.

Toward the end, I liked that Dog Man and his friends turned into superheroes. After that, the story got really epic because they were fighting a giant taco guy.

Would I recommend it? Yes!

About the book – from Goodreads: Hot diggity dog! Dog Man, the newest hero from Dav Pilkey, the creator of Captain Underpants, is back — and this time he’s not alone. The heroic hound with a real nose for justice now has a furry feline sidekick, and together they have a mystery to sniff out! When a new kitty sitter arrives and a glamorous movie starlet goes missing, it’s up to Dog Man and Cat Kid to save the day! Will these heroes stay hot on the trail, or will Petey, the World’s Most Evil Cat, send them barking up the wrong tree?

Happy 2
