Book Blogger Hop – April 13 – 19, 2018

About the Book Blogger Hop

The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer from Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended on December 31, 2012. With Jennifer’s permission, Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer relaunched the meme on February 15, 2013.

Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end on Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop’s purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to your own blog.

This week’s question:

Is there a fictitious town in a book that you would love to live in? What makes it appealing? (submitted by Elizabeth @ Silver’s Reviews)

From a book, I would say Hogsmeade from Harry Potter. It’s Harry Potter, what more needs to be said! However, I would love to live in Stars Hollow–home of the Gilmore Girls. I know it’s a TV show town, but it seems like such a beautiful and fun town to live in.

What fictitious book town would you love to live in?

I haven’t read a Harry Potter book, but that is a popular answer.

I am not that familiar with The Gilmore Girls’ town, but I know of the show.

    Thanks for sharing.

A lot of people have said Hogsmeade this week, though that’s completely understandable! It would be so fun to explore it for yourself.

When I was coming up with my own answer, all I could think about was Stars Hollow! I would so love to live in that community and experience it for what it is. It has such a nice atmosphere and it seems so fun, I wish that I could be part of it.

I went onto include a book town in my own answer, so I finally chose Henrietta from The Raven Cycle series, because it seems like it would be incredibly magical and it seems to have a lot of secrets.

If you wanted to check out my own answer, I posted it over on my own blog: http://inkblottings.com/book-blogger-hop-april-13th-fictional-towns/

No pressure though! 🙂 I’m really happy to see more people would love to live in Stars Hollow! Maybe one day we can make it a reality and all just form a little community somewhere. Thanks for sharing!!

My first thought was also Stars Hollow, though I decided to go with a book-verse instead of a town proper. Maybe I’ll see you down at the Dragonfly Inn. Happy reading!

I am amazed how popular stars hollow, believe it or not, although I’ve watched Gilmore Girls I actually didn’t know the town’s name.

    I did pick Hogsmeade too.
