The Sunday Post – March 11, 2018
The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
~this meme was inspired in part by ~ In My Mailbox~
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
Do you remember a week or so ago when I said we were all healthy, finally over the illnesses? Yeah, this week not so much. My youngest ended up sick for most of the week with a “flu-like virus,” as the doc called it. She was miserable and just wanted to rest and snuggle. So, we watched PJ Masks and Tom & Jerry and read books. Side note: my kids LOVE the old Tom & Jerry cartoons. She’s feeling much better and no one else got sick . . . knock on wood. Other than that, I worked quite a bit, ran the kids around to activities and stuff, and managed to finish two books–The Midnights by Sarah Nicole Smetana and Magic Misfits by Neil Patrick Harris. How was your week?
Last week at EFC:

- Monday: Jaclyn reviewed Drums of Autumn by Diana Gabaldon.
- Tuesday: I featured The Midnights by Sarah Nicole Smetana for the Pop-Up Blog Tour hosted by BookSparks. I really enjoyed this book and my review will be up next week.
- Wednesday: This week’s My Favorite . . . topic was Trilogy. Check out our answers.
- Thursday: Crazy week . . . I took the day off from posting.
- Friday: The Book Blogger Hop — We discussed whether we enjoy reading retellings and “sequels” to classic novels.
- Saturday: Another day off, hopefully I’ll be back to a full week of posts next week!

I’m sorry the ick is back. I hope your daughter starts feeling better soon. Cuddling and TV favorites is a good comfort.

All of my kids love the old Tom & Jerry cartoons as well as Roadrunner. It’s fun to hear them crack up!

I am really glad no one else got sick. I love the old Tom & Jerry cartoons. Didn’t even know you could still watch them. We watch PBS and Nick Jr. and Netflix Bo on the Go is a huge hit here! LOL
