Did I enjoy this book? I adored this middle grade Christmas read. I read it in a day and loved it.

I love reading books about Father Christmas, aka Santa Claus, and this one is a new favorite of mine. I was drawn into Nikolas’s story from the very beginning. His childhood was very tragic. His aunt was horrific. (I won’t even tell you what she did.) But then there were reindeer, elves, trolls, and pixies. It isn’t all happiness, but it is so worth the ride. The illustrations are really cute, too.

I think any reader, regardless of age, will love this read. A great addition to your holiday to-read pile. And it is one that I will read again.

Would I recommend it? Absolutely!

About the book – from Goodreads:
You are about to read the true story of Father Christmas.
It is a story that proves that nothing is impossible.
If you are one of those people who believe that some things are impossible, you should put this book down right away. It is most certainly not for you.
Because this book is FULL of impossible things.

Are you still reading?

Good.

Then let us begin . . .

A Boy Called Christmas is a tale of adventure, snow, kidnapping, elves, more snow, and an eleven-year-old boy called Nikolas, who isn’t afraid to believe in magic.
