The Sunday Post – November 26, 2017
The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
~this meme was inspired in part by ~ In My Mailbox~
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
I think I’m still in a food coma from Thanksgiving! I cooked the turkey, stuffing/dressing, and pies this year. I was beat, but it was definitely worth it! Did you have a nice Thanksgiving? I did not go out Black Friday for shopping (I never do), but we did go to have our family Christmas pictures taken. The pictures are beautiful! I did do a tiny bit of online shopping, but not a lot. Do you go out on Black Friday for the deals?

I went out on Friday with a friend. It wasn’t really crowded, and I got some fun items at a good deal (including finishing my niece and nephew’s gifts). I did most of the shopping online though!

We need to do a family portrait it has been way too long. We over ate too, and I am done with Turkey until next year. We do surf and turf for Christmas and it works out wonderfully.

I only had two slices of pecan pie from Wednesday til Saturday. I call that a win. I did, however, eat my share of potatoes and dressing. I do not go Black Friday shopping. I went once a few years ago – it had to be the first year after my engagement ended because I was looking for a TV. I bought that and some clothes and boots and honestly, it wasn’t bad out. Maybe it was just the stores I was visiting. This year, though, I have NO idea what to buy for The Man. I think I expended all my good ideas last year. He and the new dog will need stockings. I know I can put some chocolates in his!

Definitely a win, Charlie!
I’ve only done afternoon Black Friday shopping once . . . and I’d rather not go again. I’m glad you didn’t hit any crowds. Buying for the men is always hard. My husband and I are to the point where we just ask, “What do you want?” and go from there.

Glad to hear your Thanksgiving was good. Slowly on, Black Friday is becoming a thing here in The Netherlands. But I really don’t like crowded places. And I saw some YouTube vids from Black Friday happenings in the US.. Wow.. Crazy. I can’t deal with that. LOL! Online shopping would be the best option I think. 🙂
Have a great week and happy reading!

I never go Black Friday morning shopping. I’ve gone in an afternoon, but it’s not for me. I’d rather shop online!!
Thanks for visiting EFC, Maureen!

I did tons of online shopping for Black Friday, but I’d never go to a real store. Too much craziness. Have a great week!

I did some online shopping, too. We had to brave the mall for the family pictures, but that was late afternoon . . . the parking lots were packed.
Thanks for visiting EFC!!

I stayed home a made a small meal for me and my son. Didn’t leave the house til Saturday morning and it was quiet at the stores. I need to get started on my shopping. Did a little on line but I like to browse the shops.
