The Sunday Post – September 3, 2017
The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
~this meme was inspired in part by ~ In My Mailbox~
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
Blog Life: It’s been quite a while since we’ve participated in The Sunday Post. I’ve really missed it, but I have been reading a lot of the other Posts each Sunday. Everything has been going really well here at EFC. I finally got a new laptop that works! That means I can start trediting (editing while walking on the treadmill) again. I’ve really missed doing that. EFC Services has been busy. I truly love my job! And I seriously geeked out over my new copy (17th edition) of The Chicago Manual of Style. Every Free Chance Books is going strong. We have been reading some great books, and I know we have even more fabulous reads coming up. Stayed tuned for more reviews from all of us.
Home Life: The kids are back in school, and we are readjusting to that routine. The weather is getting cooler, which I love. I’ve been baking a lot of sourdough crackers–rosemary wheat and pretzel–sourdough muffins, and sourdough cookie bars. Are you a sourdough fan? Do you have any favorite sourdough recipes you’d like to share?
Last week at EFC:
- Sunday: I spotlighted the August books from the Summer Reading Challenge hosted by BookSparks. There’s a giveaway, too. And I posted the subscription boxes we received in July.
- Monday: Melissa reviewed Rotten Magic by Jeffrey Bardwell.

This week at EFC:

It always seems to take a while to adjust to the school schedule again.

My little man goes back to school tomorrow and I’m so excited about it (getting back in a routine, autumn coming etc) whereas he thinks the world is ending!

LOL That’s funny. I was excited for the kids to head back to school (same reasons . . . routine, autumn, etc), and thankfully they were too!
Thanks for visiting!

I’ve never really eaten sourdough anything. I’ll have to try it sometime. Our weather is still hot as Hades. I wish it would cool, drop just ten degrees. I have been doing pretty good with a morning routine and getting up and out of bed. Last year it was a serious struggle. Getting home at a decent hour, though, is still proving to be an issue. I hope you all have a great week!

I love sourdough bread, which is why I decided to learn how to make my own. I’m glad you are getting into a good routine!

My kids are back to school, too (and me too, but as a teacher!) since August 28th 🙂 It’s nice to have everyone back in a rhythm!
Have a wonderful week and happy reading.

Editing on the treadmill? That is awesome! I sometimes work standing, but while walking? Pretty impressive.
Welcome back to the Sunday post! 🙂
