The EFC Life: Our DC Vacation

We went to Washington, DC this summer for a few days over the Fourth of July weekend. We had a great time. We got there on July 4, and we went to the National Mall to see the fireworks. It was pretty awesome, sitting on the lawn near the Washington Monument. It was so hot and muggy and still that the smoke from the fireworks stayed and hid most of the display.

We were at the base of the monument, and we couldn’t see the top of it!

We visited a lot of museums over the next few days.

The Air and Space Museum

The American Indian Museum
Natural History Museum

My daughter and I did the butterfly experience. One landed on her shoe!

And we saw quite a few monuments.

On our way home, we stopped at the Air and Space Museum at Dulles Airport. That was amazing. It was a big hangar with planes and the space shuttle. Definitely worth the trip to see it.

All in all, it was a great vacation. We all had a great time.
