The EFC Life: Getting Into Shape, Well, Trying To

Hi, Everyone!

At the start of 2020, I set some goals for myself. Those goals included getting into shape and getting healthier. It has been slow going, but I’m making progress. Slow and steady wins the race, right? I’m OK with it taking a while to lose the weight and to get into better shape. I know from experience that if I lose too much too fast, then it will all come back, plus a few extra.

Henry and I go for a walk every morning. As the weeks and months go by, our walks get longer as we add more distance. Henry loves our walks!

Swimming is my favorite form of exercise. I love being in the water. I swim 3 or 4 days a week. Last month, I started doing crunches every few days, but now I work my abs just about every day, adding reps as well.

I know I have to improve my diet. I have been trying not to snack throughout the day. If I am really hungry, then I choose healthier snacks. Not always, but most of the time. I track my food and water intake. I drink at least 80 ounces of water a day. I’m not tracking my calories, just what I’m eating. Calorie tracking is the next step.
