The Sunday Post – January 28, 2018
The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
~this meme was inspired in part by ~ In My Mailbox~
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
January is almost over. Can you believe it? This past week had its ups and downs.
The great part: I celebrated my 40th birthday! It was awesome. We did pizza, wings, and cake. My husband and kids gave me a beautiful necklace and earrings set and a pretty awesome sign/picture for my kitchen.
Isn’t it fabulous? 😉 I also got a few gift cards. I’m looking for recommendations: What book should I buy with the gift card?
The bad part: I ended up getting sick on the night of my birthday. The next day I felt awful and miserable. The day after that I went to the doctor . . . and . . . I have strep throat. Again. I’ve been exhausted and just getting through work jobs. Being sick really sucks. Happy birthday to me. LOL
The good part: The kids and husband did not get sick. Fingers crossed they don’t get sick. I did finish one book, Match Made in Manhattan, and posted the review. I also finished a few editing and formatting jobs. So, I was able to get some things done despite being down and out. 🙂

Happy Birthday!! The sign is so perfect. That’s a bummer you got sick the night of your birthday. :/ I hope you are feeling better with those antibiotics. I had strep in May (two days after our state testing – and so did my partner – we were both sent home) for the first time in 17 years and I felt like a fire-breathing dragon. Rest and read!! Have a great week!

Thank you! I love the sign. I’m starting to feel better . . . but not completely. Soon, I hope.
Thanks for visiting, Charlie!

Awww, happy belated birthday!! I’m so sorry you ended getting sick but that’s great you got your work done. That must have been “fun” 🙁 I work at home, too, and I hate trying to work when I have a migraine. BLECH!! I do it to myself, though (procrastinate, baby!!).
I love the sign your family got you!! I need it now!! I think I’ll make one this spring when I have time 🙂 Happy 40th!! Welcome to the club!!! It’s not as bad as you think 😉 Feel better soon…
by TheEveryFreeChanceReader
Thank you!!! It is hard to work at home when you are sick. We just have to push through sometimes.
If you make the sign, please share a picture!!! I love it. It makes me smile. I’m happy with 40! I’m glad to be in the club! My 40s will be the best yet! 🙂

pizza, wings, and cake is a great way to celebrate your fabulous 40th birthday (happy belated birthday, by the way). That plaque is priceless! I hope you get well soon! Strep is miserable.

Happy Birthday! 🍰 I sure hope your family stays clear, that’s the toughest thing about being a mom… when the family gets sick!
by TheEveryFreeChanceReader
Thank you! So far they are still illness-free! I’m hoping it stays that way.

Happy birthday, Chrissy! I’m glad you had a fantastic birthday, even if you got sick the day after 🙁 hopefully, the strep throat will disappear with the right medicine.
Have a wonderful week and happy reading.

Happy belated birthday. That is a bummer to get strep throat, glad though that your family didn’t get sick. I would say buy Roomies, it is so adorable. I loved it.
by TheEveryFreeChanceReader
Thank you! I’ve heard great things about Roomies! Thanks for the recommendation!

Pizza, cake, and wings? Sounds like the perfect birthday! Hope you found some good books with your gift card. I always laugh because I have NO problems going through money for books, but have the worst time figuring out what to buy with gift cards. Maybe it’s because I don’t think of the giftcards as my money? Who knows! Feel better soon and happy reading!
by TheEveryFreeChanceReader
It was perfect! I have the same issues with gift cards . . . money? Buy ALL the books!!! Gift cards? What do I get? UGH! LOL
