The Sunday Post – January 14, 2018
The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
~this meme was inspired in part by ~ In My Mailbox~
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
The weather this week has been crazy! The kids were off on Monday because of the snow and cold. Then we had a few days in the 50s and 60s. Friday? Friday started with some flooding and 60-degree weather, and by the evening, it was in the 20s with ice and snow. We woke up Saturday morning to at least 6 or more inches of snow and temps in the teens. Typical winter here. LOL
I’ve been editing this week. I read–started and finished–Ice Kissed by Amanda Hocking. And I’m starting some of my behind-the-scenes blog maintenance tasks. So, it’s been a good week. How was your week?
Last week at EFC:
- Sunday: The Sunday Post
- Monday: Heather reviewed The Plantagenets by Dan Jones. Have you ever watched his Netflix show, Secrets of British Castles? My husband and I watched it a while ago. It was really interesting.
- Tuesday: I reviewed Frostfire by Amanda Hocking. It was a bit slow, but it didn’t deter me from continuing with the series.
- Wednesday: This week’s My Favorite . . . topic was Moment to Write My Reviews. Check out our answers.
- Thursday: Jaclyn reviewed The Half-Life of Remorse by Grant Jarrett.
- Saturday: I showcased our November 2017 subscription boxes (yes, I know, I’m a bit behind), and I have a giveaway!
This week at EFC:
- Sunday: You’re reading it — The Sunday Post!!
- Monday: I’m glad I continued with the Kanin Chronicles. Be sure to stop by to read my review of Ice Kissed by Amanda Hocking.
- Tuesday: Jaclyn reviews Swear On This Life by Renee Carlino. She loved it. Wait until you read her review.
- Wednesday: My Favorite . . . Audiobook. If you would like to know more about this meme, check out Maureen’s Books.
- Thursday: Heather reviews Scrappy Little Nobody by Anna Kendrick.
- Friday: The Book Blogger Hop hosted by Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer.
- Friday: I will be featuring Final Girls by Riley Sager.
- Saturday: I’ll be posting our December 2017 subscription boxes.
- Saturday: Say Nothing by Brad Parks will be featured.
Don’t forget to check out all of our current giveaways.

The weather has been crazy here too. It warmed up to 70s and now back to below freezing at night. Supposed to be cold all week. Stay warm!

Our weather took a dip down close to freezing again. We’re supposed to have wintry mix on Tuesday. I think during the holidays I tackled all my blog maintenance, but now I have a growing list of reviews to tackle. I’ve spent the weekend working and catching up in my new bullet journal for the year. Happy reading!

That’s awesome that you finished your blog maintenance stuff! I wish I was caught up. Stay warm this week!

I’ve heard really good things about Dan Jones, and would like to read some of his books. I didn’t know the Netflix show Secrets of British Castles was with him! Now I’ll have to watch it for sure. Good to know. 🙂
That is crazy weather, and it’s been much the same here. Cold, then a warm up, then cold (and snow) again. Hope your week is a little better weather- wise!

I want to read his books, too. The show was very interesting.
I hope your week is better weather-wise, too! I would be happy if it just stayed cold and snowy. The bouncing temps is annoying.
Thanks for visiting EFC, Greg!

I’m looking forward to My Favorite…audiobook on wednesday. Your blog is cute I like it. I live in Canada where it is perpetually cold in the winter and it bothers me when people say negative things about it lol. I, however, use the term minus. It is minus 1 (Celsius of course) but I was out this morning and it was snowing lightly. Very nice. The snowflakes were tiny little stars. It was so adorable.

Thank you!!!
It usually stays cold here, too, but this week has been strange. We are Fahrenheit, and some of our days have been in the minuses as well. I think we were minus 8 when we got up this morning. I enjoy the snow and cold. I love watching the snow fall. And I agree, the snowflakes do look like tiny stars!

Your weather has been all over the place! I hope you are staying warm and safe. I am glad you were able to get a lot done blog maintenance wise. I’ve been working a bit on that as well, and prepping upcoming posts. I’m not as ahead as I would like to do, but I’m not doing too badly. I hope you have a great week!

Thank you! It’s great that you are getting ahead!!!

The weather was nuts here too. We had a snow/ice day Monday but by Thursday it was 60! Then we had an early dismissal on Friday because we got snow. And we are suppose to get more snow tonight and into tomorrow (not a whole lot, but still!).
Hopefully you have a good week!

We’ve had crazy weather here in Southern California, too! Today was almost 80 degrees and last week we had torrential downpours after so many months of no rain at all. The mud slides were epic thanks to the wildfires. Hope you stay warm in your neck of the woods! I’ll have to check out The Secrets of British Castles on Netflix! Sounds like my kind of show. 🙂
by TheEveryFreeChanceReader
I hope you are safe! I heard about the mud slides. That must be scary. I can’t even imagine.
Let me know what you think of the British Castles!

It seems like the weather is crazy ever where. I am not complaining, it has been okay here in Oregon. Rain, sun but nothing too crazy. Hope you have a lovely week.
