Book Blogger Hop – April 28 – May 4, 2017
About the Book Blogger Hop
The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer from Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended on December 31, 2012. With Jennifer’s permission, Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer relaunched the meme on February 15, 2013.
Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end on Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop’s purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to your own blog.
This week’s question:
How many books have you re-read? If you have re-read books, please tell us the book’s title and why you re-read it. (submitted by Elizabeth @ Silver’s Reviews)
I used to reread books ALL THE TIME! I can’t even count how many times I’ve read Pride & Prejudice, the Harry Potter series, and a few others. I used to read these at least once a year. It’s been a while since I revisited these favorites. I do miss them and I’m hoping to get to them this year. And there are quite a few books that I want to reread that I have only read once. I love to reread my favorites . . . it’s like visiting old friends. I love the new experience I have each time I read the books. I’m at a different place in my life each time, so I have a different perspective.
I try to reread Bridge to Terabithia by Katherine Patterson once a year, but other than that I don’t tend to repeat reads. There are so many books out there I’ll never get a chance to read–it’s got to be quite a book for me to read it again.
What about you? Do you reread books?

I reread too and it’s pretty much for the same reason Chrissy does – to revisit favorite characters. Of course do to time constraints I don’t revisit nearly as much as I used too!
by TheEveryFreeChanceReader
The time constraints really hamper the rereading! I do miss those characters, though.
Thanks for visiting EFC! =)

Chrissy – I’m like you, I love to re-read. I love comfort reading. And I’ve reread Pride and Prejudice many times. One of my favorite books. And Harry Potter, too, of course.
Melissa – I do understand how it can be difficult to re-read when there are so many other books to read. I love re-reading, but it’s not for everyone.

Yes, rereading the favorites is comfort reading. That’s a great way to put it!
Thanks for stopping by! =)

I so wish I can re-read some of my favorites books, but unfortunately I don’t because I want to read what I have on my long tbr pile first. That includes books that I do for blog tour etc. Have a great weekend and happy blog hopping.
by TheEveryFreeChanceReader
I understand . . . my TBR is very long, which is why I haven’t been able to reread in quite some time.
Have a great weekend!

Marvelous answer….I actually do not re-read, but visiting old friends is a perfect reason to re-read.

Pride & Prejudice is one that I’ve reread a number of times. I have a few fantasy series that I always go back to as well. Great post!
by TheEveryFreeChanceReader
P&P is always a great one to reread.
Thanks for visiting EFC!

Like visiting old friends – yes, that’s how I feel about re-reading good books too! Pride and Prejudice is one of the classics that I try to read just about every year.
by TheEveryFreeChanceReader
It’s been a few years since I’ve reread Pride & Prejudice. I think I may need to make some time for it this year. I miss Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy!
by Erica @ The Literary Apothecary
I actually do revisit old friends, as Elizabeth so eloquently put it, on a regular basis. Why? Some of the stories are well-written and I seem to learn something new each time I read them.
by TheEveryFreeChanceReader
I’m the same way . . . I usually learn something new or find a new clue or aspect to the book that I missed the other times I read it.
Thanks for stopping by!

I am not much of a re-reader, but I do plan to re-read a lot of my favorites . . . someday. I’m just not sure when someday will be. Haha.
I hope you have a great week! Thanks for sharing!
by TheEveryFreeChanceReader
Currently, I’m on the someday plan as well. LOL
Have a wonderful week! Thanks for visiting EFC!

Re-visiting beloved favorites is great, but I agree — there are SO many books out there we’ll never be able to read….sigh….
I LOVE the Harry Potter series!! I’ve re-read the first 3 books. And, of course, I’ve also re-read The Twilight Saga!!
Thanks for commenting on my own BBH post!! Have a great week!! <3 : )
by TheEveryFreeChanceReader
I, too, have reread the Twilight series many times. And I know what you mean . . . there are so many great books out there to read for the first time!

Ah, the days before book blogging! I had time for more re-reads and personal reads in general. Thanks for dropping by my blog. 🙁
by TheEveryFreeChanceReader
I’m with you on that! Before book blogging, there was more time for rereads! Thanks for visiting!
