Why did I pick this book: I participated in the blog tour hosted by InkSlinger PR. I was really excited to be a part of this tour because I enjoyed book #1, Dragonfly. (See my review here.) Unfortunately, I was unable to finish it for my post date. But here is my review! (I received a copy of this book for review purposes.)
Did I enjoy this book: I did enjoy this book. It was as good as the first book, Dragonfly. It kept my interest and I read every free chance I had.
I liked that this book explained the back story of not only Bill Kyser, but also of his wife Meg and Julian’s mother, Alexandra. They are the reasons we want to know about Anna and Julian and Jack. They started this whole saga. You don’t often get to read about the other major players in a series. And you rarely get to read each of their perspectives of the same chain of events. That was unique to me and welcomed. This story line is so involved, reading the journal entries really brought to life what each of the characters were going through at the time of the most pivotal events. (And, yes, I realize I am being kind of cryptic but I really don’t want to spoil anything in this series.)
Each character has his/her own good points and bad points. Each character has a valid reason for doing what they did. Each character has a purpose for their actions. Read this installment of the Dragonfly series to find out more. The ending…another cliffhanger. I can’t wait to see how this series ends.
Would I recommend it: I would recommend this book, especially if you have read Dragonfly!
Will I read it again: I will not but I cannot wait to read the third book, Watercolor. See the cover reveal here.
About the book: Falling in love will pull you under…
-Bill Kyser has a plan to take the sandy farms of his hometown and turn them into a world-class tourist destination–and become a billionaire in the process.
-Alexandra “Lexy” LaSalle has a plan to change her life by becoming a world-famous artist.
-Meg Weaver has a plan to hold onto Bill no matter what she has to do.
Three friends, three dreams.
One fatal decision will change all their lives forever.
In Dragonfly, Bill Kyser gave Anna the three journals that held the story behind the powerful developer’s seclusion and the damaged lives of his family members.
Anna hopes to find a way for Julian to know the truth, but as she digs deeper into the tragic events of the past, she realizes silence could be the only option.
Now she’s in an alliance with the man she formerly feared. And if Julian finds out what she knows, she could lose for good the boy she’s starting to love.
Happy reading wherever you are and whenever you get a free chance!!!
