Book Blogger Hop – May 5 – 11, 2017

About the Book Blogger Hop

The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer from Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended on December 31, 2012. With Jennifer’s permission, Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer relaunched the meme on February 15, 2013.

Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end on Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop’s purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to your own blog.

This week’s question:

Do you rearrange and move books around on the shelves or move books off of your bookshelves to another area after a certain amount of time or do you just leave them the way they are? (submitted by Elizabeth @ Silver’s Reviews)

I do not rearrange my books unless I move or have to move them. For example, my husband is building me new bookshelves, so I will have to take all the books down and rearrange them. But other than that, the books stay where I put them.

I rearrange my books all the time. Sometimes I sort them by color, sometimes by genre, sometimes by author or title . . . It just depends on my mood.

What about you . . . are you like Chrissy or Melissa?

If I had more space I would probably move my books around more. I love it when people shelve books by colour. 🙂

That is a pretty look, by color. I don’t know if I would do it to my own books, though. Thanks for stopping by!

I’m probably more like Chrissy but as soon as I get more bookshelves I’ll be like Melissa! I love looking at all my books though it can take forever because I have to read the blurbs and the first paragraph or chapter or sometimes the whole book!

That happens to me, too. I end up reading the blurbs, sometimes a chapter, etc. It’s fun, though!! Thanks for stopping by!

I don’t re-arrange them all the time – only when the main bookshelf gets filled. My explanation is in my post.

Welcome to the Book Blogger Hop. Love the name and design of your blog.

Have a nice weekend, and Happy Hopping!!

I don’t rearrange my books until I run out of room. Then I nox up the ones I know I’m not going to read right away.

I used to move my books around my apt because I had no bookshelf’s. Until I got bookshelf’s than I arranged my book with help from my mom. Happy Blog Hopping and have a great weekend. How exciting, Chrissy! I hope you like your new bookshelves when they are finished.

Unfortunately, I am not much of a book re-arranger. I have thought about doing it by color like Melissa mentioned, but my husband would probably veto the idea. LOL Since our books are mixed together–we’ve compromised in our book organization.

I hope you both have a great week!

I don’t think mine would go for the color idea either. And I think that would be really hard to do as well! LOL I have a system of organized chaos. But I know where all my books are!!

I hope you had a great weekend!

Mine stay pretty the same, alphabetical author order, so even when I do change around bookshelves they end up looking similar. 🙂
