Did I enjoy this book? Here we go with another psychological thriller! I usually pride myself on being able to predict the plot twists in these types of books, but I didn’t predict this one! The first half of this book kept me guessing. After the plot twist, I couldn’t stop reading to see what was going to happen. Admittedly, the second half of the book was a bit predictable. I always hesitate to knock a book because I can predict the plot. Is it predictable because the plot is basic and uninspired? Or is it predictable because I’ve read so many thrillers that I’m become numb to the entire genre? At the end of the day, I liked this book enough that I couldn’t put it down. That’s enough for me.
Would I recommend it? Ultimately, yes I would recommend it. I thought this was a good, basic psychological thriller. If you are new to the genre, this would be a good introduction. If you are a huge fan of the genre, this might not be *enough* for you.
About the book – from Goodreads: When you read this book, you will make many assumptions.
You will assume you are reading about a jealous ex-wife.
You will assume she is obsessed with her replacement – a beautiful, younger woman who is about to marry the man they both love.
You will assume you know the anatomy of this tangled love triangle.
Assume nothing.
Twisted and deliciously chilling, Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen’s The Wife Between Us exposes the secret complexities of an enviable marriage – and the dangerous truths we ignore in the name of love.
Read between the lies.
