Did I enjoy this book? This was the first Colleen Hoover book that I struggled with–EEP! I had a difficult time with the characters and just didn’t really *get* the plot. I kept reading because I love this author and refused to put down one of her books–and I’m glad I did! The more I read, the more I was able to relate to Quinn (the main character). While I’ve never experienced the struggles that she goes through in the book, I found that I was able to identify with her actions. She spends so much effort falling apart on the inside but putting on a show to convince others that she is OK, only to find that no one believed her show, they just didn’t know what to do, so they went along with her performance. Once I had this realization, I read the book much quicker and was significantly more invested. I also appreciated the nod to Hopeless at the very end–tricky tricky, Ms. Hoover!!

Would I recommend it? I would cautiously recommend this book. Overall I did enjoy reading it, but there are some triggers in it that others may need to be aware of. If you are sensitive to infidelity or infertility struggles, I don’t think this would be a good book to read. It just may be too difficult of a topic.

About the book – from Goodreads: Colleen Hoover delivers a tour de force novel about a troubled marriage and the one old forgotten promise that might be able to save it.

Quinn and Graham’s perfect love is threatened by their imperfect marriage. The memories, mistakes, and secrets that they have built up over the years are now tearing them apart. The one thing that could save them might also be the very thing that pushes their marriage beyond the point of repair.

All Your Perfects is a profound novel about a damaged couple whose potential future hinges on promises made in the past. This is a heartbreaking page-turner that asks: Can a resounding love with a perfect beginning survive a lifetime between two imperfect people?
