Did I enjoy this book? Oh my goodness! I loved Liza’s character in the Ice and Edge series, so I was really excited to read a book from her perspective! This book did not disappoint! I loved reading about Liza, since she is so different from Emily and Courtney. Emily and Courtney both suffered from anxiety and nerves before and during each performance. Liza exuded the confidence that I want to believe an Olympic athlete has. Don’t get me wrong, she has challenges along the way, but her confidence was a breath of fresh air. I loved that the author had Liza put her relationship on the back burner in order to focus on her Olympic dream. This would be a great story for a teenage girl to read as the message is one about staying true to yourself and your dreams, not putting everything on hold for some boy. (But the happy ending certainly helps, too!)

Would I recommend it? I think I loved this book the most of all the books by this author! Great story, great characters, great skating–great everything! You could read this book as a standalone story, but why would you??!?! Read all the books in this series! They are all great!!

About the book – from Goodreads: Liza Petrov’s entire life has been about skating and winning her sport’s top prize – Olympic gold. She’s stayed sheltered inside her bubble, not daring to stray from her destined path.

Until she meets Braden Patrick.

He makes her heart flutter with possibility, and for the first time she gets a taste of a normal teenage life. She longs to have both the boy and the gold, but stepping outside her bubble comes with a price. As Liza begins to question both her future and her past, can she stay focused on the present and realize her ultimate dream?
