Book Blogger Hop – February 9 – 15, 2018
About the Book Blogger Hop
The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer from Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended on December 31, 2012. With Jennifer’s permission, Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer relaunched the meme on February 15, 2013.
Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end on Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop’s purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to your own blog.
This week’s question:
What authors have you met and where? (submitted by Elizabeth @ Silver’s Reviews)
I have met two authors in person. Heather McCoubrey is one of my clients. We met after we worked together for the first time and soon became great friends. She now reviews for EFC as well. The other author I met is Brock Booher. My book club read his book Healing Stone and Skyped with him. I also worked with him on The Charity Chip. When he was in the area, some of my book club members and I had a chance to meet him in person. I would love to go to more author events. And I would love to meet more of my clients in person.
What authors have you met?

I don’t think I’ve met any authors… I love indie authors so i admire many but yeah… it would be fun to go to more author events or book Cons! ♥️ (BTW Thanks for fixing the link, so much easier 😁)

I really want to go to book cons and other events. One of these days.
I’m glad the link worked!!! YAY!
Thanks for visiting, Dani!

I am sure you book club had a nice time.
Thanks for sharing.

We really did. It’s interesting to ask the author questions about why they went a certain way in their book and what motivated to write the story.
Thanks for visiting, Elizabeth!

I have met Diana Gabaldon, Maureen Jennings, Clive Barker, many cookbook authors (Lidia Bastianich, Julie Child twice, Nigella Lawson, Naomi Duguid and her ex Jeffrey Alford to name a few), Jean Beliveau, Hugh Brewster, Sandra Gulland, Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, Paul Burrell, Prince Charles (he wrote a published children’s book), among others.

I have met a handful of authors thanks to my library friend introducing me to Texas Teen Book Festival. Jason Reynolds came to my school in September, and a few years ago Ally Carter did (but I didn’t get to meet her.)

Very cool! I bet the Book Festival is a lot of fun. We have a one in my hometown that I want to go to. Hopefully this year!

WOW, how AWESOME that you have an author AND client who is also a friend, and even reviews on your blog!! I’m turning a slight shade of green……lol. 🙂
Meeting one’s literary writing heroes SURE is fun!! And I have been star struck every time I’ve met one! It’s difficult to not get tongue-tied in the presence of one of these AWESOME creative creatures!! Lol.
I’m not familiar with these authors, but I’ll be sure to look them up on Goodreads!
