Book Blogger Hop – August 18 – 24, 2017

About the Book Blogger Hop

The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer from Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended on December 31, 2012. With Jennifer’s permission, Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer relaunched the meme on February 15, 2013.

Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end on Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop’s purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to your own blog.

This week’s question:

When you enter an unfamiliar house or apartment for the first time, do you feel disappointed if you don’t see any bookshelves, or books on the coffee table? (submitted by Maria @ A Night’s Dream of Books)

Not at all! Everyone and every house is different. However, if I do see bookshelves or books, I do check out the titles to see if I’ve read the same books! 🙂

No? I might judge a house that has tabloid magazines everywhere though. 😉

What about you? Are you disappointed if you don’t see books in a house or apartment?

If there were a bookcase, I would check out what they read, but I’m not disappointed if there isn’t one. I’ve realized lately that a lot of people keep bookcases in their bedrooms or a spare room, not a more public space like the living room.

I’d like to think that I’m not that judgmental. I definitely like to check out people’s shelves, though.
