Why did I pick this book: I was asked by the author to review this book. (I received a copy of this book for review purposes.)
Where I stopped reading: Location 1266 of 8485 on my Kindle app.
Why I stopped reading: The writing just wasn’t up to par. I suppose I’m losing my tolerance; I used to be able to let grammar slide if the story was good (and this story IS good). But. You’ve got to learn Chopsticks before you can play Chopin’s Preludes. You’ve got to be able to julienne before you get your own show on The Food Network, and you must, MUST be able to compose a concise, well-punctuated sentence before you write anything other than a shopping list.
What others have rated this book: According to Goodreads, the average rating for Element Keepers: Whispers of the Wind is 4.06. It looks like a majority of readers gave this book 5 stars. There were 9 5-star reviews on Amazon. At Barnes & Noble, the majority of the reviews were 5 stars. Just because I didn’t finish this book doesn’t mean you won’t.
About the book – from Goodreads: “As the Wind guided you to great power, it will one day guide you to humble salvation. And as the Wind once did your bidding, so one day you shall abide by its call.
Many will fall, but One will rise. And the elements of power will join together with time itself to serve his greatest need.”
Memories are just as mortal as humans.
The past that shaped this present era is dead and buried, forgotten by all but one.
