About the book: This book is for the woman who wants to feel good about herself and her body, and learn how to start incorporating healthy habits into her life. It’s for the woman who doesn’t want to trade in her champagne for skinny jeans. It’s for the woman who is done with dieting, and ready to start paying attention to her health before that number on the scale. It’s for the woman who is ready to stop letting her weight define her, and is ready to understand why it always did. This is not a diet book. This is a lifestyle guide. This book will change the way you view your weight and yourself forever. You will walk away feeling empowered, inspired, and downright sexy (and probably craving a glass of bubbly). You will learn how to celebrate yourself and your body. You will learn to make your health a priority, always. And most importantly – you will learn to love yourself, exactly as you are. So get ready to embark on a complete dieting and lifestyle overhaul, sister. You are now on The Champagne Diet!
What is the most rewarding aspect of being a life coach?
A lot of people don’t understand the concept of life coaching. They assume it’s either a) therapy or b) some kind of scam. I’ll admit it, I had no idea what life coaching was about at first either. But when I discovered the power of coaching, my entire world changed.
Being a life coach is a unique job. Simply put, I empower people to be the change agent in their lives. I work exclusively with motivated, empowered, positive people who understand that they are the only ones who can improve their thinking, and ultimately their lives. I don’t tell my clients what to do. Instead, I ask questions that force them to dig deep and get to the root of what is standing in the way of them ultimately achieving their dreams.
Think about something you’ve been trying to achieve but has seemed impossible. Maybe you’ve been trying to lose 10 or 15 pounds, and every time you try to start a workout routine or eat healthy, you fail. You’ve probably become extremely frustrated and hopeless, thinking you’ll never lose the weight. My job is to partner with you to help you clear that block. Most people don’t know this, but our minds have a power beyond measure. Once we learn how to take control of our thinking patterns, we are able to unlock our potential and accomplish anything we want. I am a diehard believer in The Law of Attraction, so one of the first things I do with my clients is get them to stop telling their old “story” and start writing a new one. For example: if a client comes to me and says “I’ve always been fat. I’m tired. I can’t stick to a diet. I am always going to be fat.” I will immediately have them write a new story about themselves. I encourage them to envision themselves as a healthy, fit person with complete control of their eating habits. I inspire them to start believing they have already lost the weight and acting as if they are in the body they want. This process has a profound effect on their success and they are able to immediately see a change. Of course, this goes for any struggle. Whether someone is trying to find love, pursue a new job, or embark on a huge project, the power of positive thinking guarantees they will make it happen.
What I love most about coaching is seeing the success my clients achieve. There is nothing better than listening to them reach their “a ha” moment on a call when they realize that they had the answers within them all along. I love seeing someone blossom and see that they hold the power to live a life beyond their wildest imagination. We are all deserving of the absolute best that life has to offer. We just have to believe it.
