Why did I pick this book: I read the first two books in the Edge series (Life on the Edge and Edge of the Past) and I’m looking forward to the third book, Fighting for the Edge. I wanted to read this short story to see what was happening with Emily and Sergei.
Did I enjoy this book: I did enjoy this book. I read it in one quick sitting.
Reaching the Edge was a nice addition to the series. I can see why the author chose not to include it in the books. It may not have been right for younger readers, not that it was that bad. But it was an enjoyable read that gave us a little more about Sergei and Emily.
Would I recommend it: I would recommend it if you have read the first two books. I would recommend it if you like sweet short stories.
Will I read it again: I may.
About the book – from Goodreads: Emily has waited over two years to give herself to Sergei. She couldn’t have asked for a more patient man. Now they’ve finally reached their wedding night, and after all Sergei’s patience and understanding, Emily wants to be everything for him. How will their first night together compare to their dreams?
This is a 3500-word short story that contains mature content not suitable for younger readers. It is part of the Edge series, but it’s not necessary to read Life on the Edge or Edge of the Past first to enjoy this story.
Happy reading wherever you are and whenever you get a free chance!!!
