My Writing Cave

So most authors joke about having a writing cave. I actually didn’t have one until earlier this year. My husband built one for me in our apartment. I usually have a can of Sprite, my kitty cat on the windowsill, and stare at the screen until I need a break and go book boy hunting on Pinterest.

Before the “official” writing cave, though, I actually found myself at my second home. I’ll include a picture.

Yep. My second home is Barnes and Noble, and I usually sat in their café with a mocha latte in hand clicking away. This was where I wrote entire novels and learned many stories from fellow Barnes and Noble book browsers. This place is seriously like a bar. Everyone has a story, quite literally. You can learn a lot about people just by the books they are carrying or the magazines they

 

 

 

1. About the author: Victoria H. Smith has a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. She puts it to good use writing romance all day. She resides in the Midwest with her Macbook on her lap and a cornfield to her right. She often draws inspiration for her stories from her own life experiences, and the twenty-something characters she writes give her an earful about it.read. I also would get to chatting with them sometimes when whole tables weren’t free for me to work. They’d ask me about what I write and they’d tell me things about themselves. I got to meet many interesting people that way. Though, I have my official writing cave now I’ll never forget all those days and hours I spent at good ole’ BN!

   In her free time, she enjoys extreme couponing, blogging, reading, and sending off a few tweets on Twitter when she can. She writes new adult fiction romance in the sub-genres of science fiction, urban fantasy, and contemporary, but really, anywhere her pen takes her, she goes.
