Ooh! It’s neat to see the PopSugar Must Have Box. I’ve heard good things about that one!
I finally ordered my first subscription box. I somehow found a really sweet promo code for FabFitFun, and got an Editor’s Box for $15 instead of the regular $40 (?). (From what I understand, new subscribers receive an Editor’s Box when the regular boxes are between seasons. I ordered mine near the end of January, and the Spring boxes weren’t ready for customers yet.) One neat thing– and I think this is new for FFF– was that I was able to customize my box a bit, i.e. choose between Option A and Option B for maybe 3-4 of the items.
At first… Well, everything stayed in the box for several days. I still haven’t used several of the items. Don’t get me wrong, they’re ~definitely~ nice. It just feels… weird– for me, personally. These are things that I’d never buy in my real life, and there was just this disconnection.
I ended up canceling. Even though it’s a REALLY good value (the retail value of what’s in the box is off the wall), I can’t afford it. My sister didn’t want it, and as such she didn’t want my promo code.
…Maybe you could tell, but… um… I think I needed to vent. :-/

Oh, hi, duh. :-p
I still have the promo/referral code ($10 off), should anyone be interested. It’s one of those dealies where I receive some credit to my account when I refer a person (people? not sure… I’d have to check). I’d get $15, and with that I should be able to afford the Spring Box / reopen my account. It IS a killer box, it’s just that I’m going through a “time” of having “issues” with “money.”
Spoiler: No books in it, tho. 🙂

They’ve changed the PopSugar box to once a quarter now. We’ll see how it goes.
That’s a great deal on FabFitFun! Sometimes the boxes are overwhelming.
