Did I enjoy this book? I have a serious love-hate relationship with this book. It is written well, but about halfway through this book I put it down in absolute horror. Then I picked it back up and read another couple of chapters–then put it back down again. The author wrote a great story here, and the ending is exactly what it should be. However, there was a lot of unexpected gore in this book–it really caught me off guard. This book got VERY dark, VERY fast.
Would I recommend it? ONLY if you like gore and disturbing plots. If you do, this book is for you! Well written, dark, unexpected–the works! This book was so dark that it has haunted me, and I honestly had to step away from READING for a few days. I just couldn’t bring myself to pick up ANY book until I had healed from this one. As if that weren’t enough, when I finally picked up a book to read–I had to go back and reread something I knew I liked–I couldn’t bring myself to pick up something untested again. I’m still reeling from this book. It definitely gets marks for making an impact.
