Paul’s Review: The Naughty List by Michael Fry and Bradley Jackson

Hi, Everyone! My son Paul is back on the blog to share this fun Christmas book with you. He and I talked about this book, and I typed his review based on our chat and the questions he answered.

Enjoy!

Did I enjoy this book? Yes, I did. It was very funny; I laughed a lot.

My favorite part was when Bobbie fought the big zombie-eyed Santa and fell off the roof because it made me laugh. The pictures were funny too. The pictures let me know where they were and what the places looked like. The Christmas-themed bazookas were cool because they shot Christmas lights to tangle up the enemies.

I didn’t like that there was only one nice kid on the entire list because most of the people were actually good kids but the Watcher wasn’t very good at “seeing” and put everybody onto the naughty list.

*** SPOILER ALERT ***

The ending was good because they won and saved Christmas!

*** SPOILER ALERT OVER ***

Would I recommend it? Yes, I think you should read the book!

Would Mom recommend it? For your middle grade readers, yes, especially if they are fans of the Wimpy Kid series or the Big Nate series. The illustrations are cute and really bring the story to life. For me, hearing Paul read it to his younger siblings and all of them laughing makes it a win for me!
