Did I enjoy this book:
I really enjoyed this Ice series installment. It was a great addition to a wonderful series.

Ms. Comeaux has a way of writing the skating scenes that has me as a spectator. As a coach. As a skater. I feel like I’m right there on the ice or at rink side. It’s a pretty cool feeling while reading a book. The story itself has romance, drama, heartache, glee. It’s fabulous. If you’ve been on the journey with Courtney and Josh, then you will definitely be rooting for them here. Their journey comes to an end in Taking the Ice, and it was fitting.

I really liked Stephanie in this book. She has grown up and changed quite a bit. There aren’t too many appearances or scenes with Em and Sergei, and that’s okay, it isn’t their story. (But they are still my favorite characters from Ms. Comeaux.) Mrs. Tucker is a real piece of work. And I love Liza. I really, really hope she gets her own book or series.

Would I recommend it: Absolutely, especially if you are a fan of the Ice and Edge series.

About the book – from Goodreads:
Olympic rings and an engagement ring.

Courtney Carlton is ready for both.

She and her boyfriend Josh have skated together and dated for four years, and they’ve reached a critical point in their partnership both on and off the ice. With the Winter Games coming up and their career nearing an end, they are fighting to win a spot on the Olympic team, something Courtney has dreamed of since she was ten years old.

She also has another wish she hopes comes true soon. She’s waiting for a marriage proposal from Josh that she expected to happen by now. Will she realize either dream or will her heart be broken from disappointment?
