Why did I pick this book: I participated in the blog tour hosted by AToMR Tours. (I received a copy of this book for review purposes.)
Did I enjoy this book: I did enjoy this book. I read it every free chance I had and I have to say that I enjoyed it better than Stalk Me and Kiss Me. Date Me is, in my opinion, the best of the three books so far. I’m hooked on The Keatyn Chronicles. At first, I didn’t like it that much. It was alright but nothing to write home about. Now, I’m hooked.
I enjoyed Date Me more because it seemed like Keatyn was evolving a bit more. I understand that all of these books happen within days of each other but there is a change occurring in her. I like her much better in this environment as opposed to her LA/Hollywood environment. Does she still make dumb mistakes? Yes. Is this one a bit more realistic than the previous two? Maybe. Do I care at this point? No. This story, as I said, has me hooked. Ms. Dodd has made me care about Keatyn and her friends.
I love Keatyn’s new friends. I even like her acquaintances better in this story as opposed to those in Stalk Me. My favorites are Riley and Dallas. They are the best! They are funny, loyal, endearing. They are wonderful additions to Keatyn’s story and true friends for her. There are other friends – Katie, Anne, Whitney, Peyton – who have changed for me throughout this book. (I would say more, but I don’t want to spoil anything. You will understand when you read Date Me.) Aiden v. Dawson. I don’t know that I have a pick through most of this book. They each have great qualities and give something different to the story. I have a pick at the end…but I’m not going to tell you. Again, I don’t want to spoil it.
And speaking of ends, Why, Ms. Dodd? Why? That’s all I have to say. Please, Ms. Dodd, please tell me I don’t have to wait too long before Love Me is released. I must know what happens next. I must.
Would I recommend it: I would recommend it, especially if you have read Stalk Me and Kiss Me.
Will I read it again: I will not but I can’t wait for Love Me, book 4 in The Keatyn Chronicles series.
About the book: I’m not scripting my life anymore.
I’m living it.
I’m done with the God of all Hotties.
I’m going to give my heart to the boy who I think deserves it.
The boy whose kisses are hotter than molten lava.
The boy who offered me the key to his heart.
The boy who asked me to Homecoming in a big, sexy way.
There are so many things to look forward to.
Parties at the Cave. Homecoming festivities. Drama Tryouts. Shopping trips to NY.
But things aren’t always as perfect as they seem.
I find out that my best friend has been keeping a secret from me.
Not that I can blame him.
I have secrets too.
But, for now, I’m going to pretend I’m just a normal girl.
I’m going to pretend he’s not still out there.
I’m going to pretend he’s not getting desperate.
I’m going to pretend I’ll never see him again.
But, I will.
And this time, I might not get away.
