Why did I pick this book: I won this book from the ladies at Chick Lit Is Not Dead. I could not wait to read it!

Did I enjoy this book: I did enjoy this book. While it was on my currently reading list for awhile, once I got into the book, I could not put it down. I read it every free chance I had and finished it in about a day. It was great chick lit!

Out of the three siblings, I didn’t like Lillian at all. I can understand that she was hurt and betrayed but she didn’t have to take it out on everyone. She didn’t even tell her parents why she and her children basically moved in with her. Then she felt put out when other issues hit her siblings. UGH! That bugged me.

Rachel was a good character. I wanted her to succeed. I wanted her to find her path and something true for her. Stephen and Jane were great characters as well. They made a fantastic couple and embodied current family planning dynamics.

Would I recommend it: I would recommend this book. It was a great read and I think it would be a great summer, beach read.

Will I read it again: I’m not sure. It isn’t a book that I will read every year but I may read it again in a few years.

About the book – MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS: Ginny and William are empty-nesters until their oldest daughter, Lillian, shows up at their hose with her children and no explanation for the unexpected visit. Next, their son Stephen and his pregnant wife, Jane, come for an impromptu visit for the weekend. However, this visit gets extended for an indefinite period of time because of a complication that landed Jane on bedrest. Finally, Ginny and William’s youngest daughter, Rachel, appears at their door with her own issues.

How will everyone get along together back in their childhood home? Will the parents ever get their empty nest back?

Happy reading wherever you are and whenever you get a free chance!!!
